So far this is the first post here of 2011. I’m sorry for the long drought. I have some work from the last few months that I’ll gradually post here, perhaps to start working my way back to regular updates. So far, here’s the original painting for the debut album of my band, The Key Frames. The album’s called Out On The Point and you can buy copies here.

Well I suppose that that’s it for now or at least for a little while. I made a commitment a year ago to post a new drawing every day for the entirety of the year 2010 and now that that’s over, I guess my period of drawing indentured servitude is as well. I’ll definitely keep updating this blog, just not necessarily on a rigorously regular schedule. This particular year might not have been the optimal year to try this experiment, but it was the year that I did it and at the very least I can say that indeed I did do it. Some of the drawings I’m quite fond of, some less so. I struggle to find some cohesion in all of them. For the most part I was pretty exhausted by the time I got around to drawing but I don’t want to make excuses for any of them. Actually some of my favorites over the past year are the really sleepy ones. Too often I really didn’t feel like drawing for whatever reason, but the feeling of obligation kept me going. Right now I’m looking forward to not having to worry about it for the time being.
